Karen M. Dvornich, NTP, CGP, SAMP, ANT-c
As a Nutritional Therapist, my goal is to support and encourage my clients to become knowledgeable about their own health. We spend time talking about health issues and goals, current medications that may deplete vitamins/minerals, blood chemistry that can show micronutrient deficiencies, and environmental toxis as we together develop a Health Plan rather than a diet plan.
Certified Gluten Practitioner (CGP)
Certified Gluten Practitiones have been trained to look for gluten sensitivity that can manifest itself in many different ways; know why many people who go "gluten-free" continue to be sick; and are aware of autoimmune issues that should be checked for gluten sensitivity.
Many of my clients have been to multiple doctors and still have not found the reason for their medical issues. I always ask myself, why could this be happening and look beyond my clients' symptoms for the cause. Two clients may have the same symptoms, but with totally different issues. My goal is to identify underlying deficiencies that can be addressed with diet and nutritional supplements.
Pets are also dealing with issues of gluten sensitivity, toxins in their environment and foods. I work with owners to improve their pets' diets and look for and remove toxins.
My training as a Small Animal Massage Practitioner and certified Animal Normalization Therapist is integrated with nutrition to identify food related "mechanical" issues versus actual injuries.
